5-story 75+ year old plaster staircase on college campus
Problem: continually cracking and flaking plaster.
Customer specifications: “Our walls have to be painted every 2-3 years. We’re Not looking for a perfect finish on the walls. We know it is an old building with imperfect walls. Just stop the cracking and peeling plaster paint problems.”
Solution: Light scrape and prep work. Cracks and unstable areas primed with 1-2 coats of MDP (2 gallons). Light coat of patch was applied and sanded. Patched areas were primed and painted.
