Century-old 2-Story lap sided cedar home
Problem: Continuous peeling, flaking paint.
Customer specifications: “Our house only last about 4-5 years before it peels. Make the front (and entry doors) look nice and new. The alligator look around the sides is not a concern. We want the project to last longer and save money in the long run.”
Solution: Strip and sand front area and around entries to a smoother finish on old paint. Light scrape and prep work around the rest of home. Project primed with 2 coats of MDP (4 gallons) in the front of home. Spot primed around the rest of project using another 4 gallons. MDP back-brushed into the entire project to stabilize peeling areas.
